June is here! This means busy days, warmer weather and time for some good-byes. This month we are planning class trips, the Regional Track and Field Meet, Gr. 8 Graduation, and of course, June Report Cards. Our goodbyes start with us wishing Ms. Lewis, Ms. McLennan, Ms. McCamus, Ms. Kowal, Mr. Bolotenko, Mme Cordero, Mme Percy, Ms. Bosley and Ms. Filetti good luck in their new schools! We are sad to see you go but know that you take your AWESOMENESS with you to spread to others! We wish good luck to Ms. Foster who will be attend-ing the Faculty of Education in the fall, to Mme Gad and her family who will be welcoming a baby boy in August and finally Mrs. Rancourt who will be going to St. Mark the Evangelist C.S. in Whitby as their Vice-Principal. May God guide all of you as you continue your journey in Catholic Education!

Congratulations to all the Grade 3 to 8 students who participated in our school’s Track and Field meet last month. It was an awesome day! A special congratulations to our event winners who will be advancing to the Regional Track Meet on June 13th (permission forms to follow). We also applaud our Grade 3 and 6 students who completed the EQAO testing. We are very proud of your effort and hard work! Finally, we also want to congratulate our Grade 2 students who received their First Holy Communion as well as our Grade 7 & 8 students who received the sacrament of Confirmation. What a blessed time in their lives!

Our Family Math Night was a huge success! Thank you to all the families who joined us AND to all the parents who helped as well as the teachers who organized the math games. A special thank you to our speaker, Dan Allen, consultant from our school board, who started us off with some deep thinking and perhaps some new learning.
Our year end School Mass will be on Wednesday, June 15th at 10:00AM at the church. Family members are always welcome to join us. We will be offering prayers at this mass for our Grade 8 students as they prepare to leave St. Patrick C.S. and head off to secondary school.

As this school year draws to a close, we would like to express our appreciation to the community of St. Patrick Catholic School. We are fortunate to have many AWESOME parents who volun-teer in a number of ways in our school to enhance our programs for our students. Your time working with students, supervising on trips, fundraising, serving on our Catholic School Council and in many other areas, truly adds an important component to the life of our school and we thank each of you for your time and dedication to our students. THANK YOU ET MERCI! Know that without our vol-unteers, we could not enjoy all of the extras like pizza days, popcorn days and field trips – things that make St. Patrick C.S. AWESOME!
Please take time to review important year-end information found in this newsletter.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you a safe, restful and fun-filled summer!
Don’t forget…the last day of school is Wednesday, June 29th!!
