Junior Kindergarten 2019 Registration Information

Please note the following information regarding Kindergarten enrolment at St. Patrick Catholic School.

The French Pilot in Kindergarten at St. Patrick has been discontinued for the 2019-2020  year. A comparable Kindergarten Year One and Year Two Program will be provided at St. Patrick Catholic School and all of our Catholic elementary schools across the system. 

Further, our numbers have exceeded available space and are projected to continue growing.  For this reason,  new enrolment space in our Year One Kindergarten program for 2019-2020 will be limited to 45 students. 

Kindergarten spots will be offered to students in the following order should spaces be available:

• Children currently attending the daycare at St. Patrick Catholic School
• Siblings currently at our school
• Children within the 1.6 walking zone

Students from the above list who have completed an application by February 28^th, 2019, will be admitted at that time.  A lottery will be used in each of the above, should there be more enrolments than the spots available.  Any remaining positions will be allocated by lottery. The lottery will take place on March 1, 2019 and will include all completed applications received by end of day on February 28, 2019.  Students who are not admitted, will need to attend their designated home school for Kindergarten.  As per processes across the System, should you wish to enrol your child in French Immersion, they would then apply to transfer to St. Patrick for Grade One.

Once registration is complete, we will notify parents via email regarding the status of your application. Once accepted and following the on-line application process, the school secretary will be calling you to make an appointment to complete your registration in person.
