St. Patrick Catholic School Students Attend Truth and Reconciliation Event with Town of Ajax

On September 30, during National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Grade 6 students from St. Patrick Catholic School attended an event hosted by the Town of Ajax led by Indigenous elders in the community and local elected officials. Students heard beautiful Indigenous songs, witnessed youth Indigenous dance performances and listened to a residential school survivor speak about their experiences growing up as a part of an Indigenous community. Grade 6 students received their own "Every Child Matters" orange t-shirts and wore them in commemoration of the day of reflection.
